Congratulations to both recipients for their significant contributions to our industry.

A big thank you to the YTI guests and colleagues who joined us— Dave Wear, Tara Voss, Michele Grubbs, Jacqueline Michelle Moore, Hyun Jung (HJ) Yoon, Sandra Grujić, MBA, CPA, Erik Crichton and Tiffany Sims —your participation helped make the day special. We also have to give a shout-out to the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce team—Stephanie Mireles, Anthony Lei and Pat Clark, for their seamless planning and unwavering support of YTI and our partners.

EEP E-Commerce & Logistics Summit

YTI attended the IEEP E-Commerce & Logistics Summit last week. Alan McCorkle, President & CEO, gave the keynote that included a discussion on current port activities with Paul Granillo moderating for IEEP.

YTI was not done there, Alan also supported the event with his participation in a panel discussion: Collaborating for Progress: The Cooperative Agreement. Other panelists included: Mike DiBernardo, Port of LA, Eleanor Torres, Port of Long Beach, Vanessa Delgado, with Peter Whittingham moderating the discussion.

We want to express our sincere gratitude to the IEEP team for the opportunity, and for all their superb planning and preparation efforts – you run a tight ship! We truly enjoyed being a part of the event.

Regional Maritime Cybersecurity Discussion at YTI

It was an honor to host the regional maritime cybersecurity discussion at YTI, where the focus was on port and operational technology environments.

This event was organized in collaboration with Maritime Hacking Village, and brought together leaders from across the region. The session included CISOs and cybersecurity professionals from:

  • Port of San Diego
  • Port of Long Beach
  • Port of Los Angeles
  • Port of Hueneme
  • United States Coast Guard Auxiliary

The conversation reinforced something we collectively recognize: cybersecurity in the maritime domain is a shared responsibility. Operational technology, navigation systems, and port infrastructure cross organizational and jurisdictional boundaries—and effective defense depends on coordination, trust, and information sharing across all stakeholders.

Thank you to Maritime Hacking Village and all participants for the thoughtful discussion and continued partnership in strengthening the resilience of our maritime and port communities.

Partnership with KW International: YTI is thrilled to support the revitalization of the Wilmington YMCA Child Activity Center

YTI in partnership with KW International is thrilled to support the revitalization of the Child Activity Center. Seeing the joy in their sweet faces, and the unforgettable greeting they gave us, warmed our hearts! A welcome we’ll carry with us forever!

Last week, our teams visited the YMCA for a special tour and to present a gift toward the renovation. While we were there to offer our support, the children stole the show. The incredible greeting they gave us and the joy on their faces truly warmed our hearts. It’s a welcome we’ll carry with us forever.

We believe in investing in the families of our community, and we can’t wait to see this space reimagined and enhanced. We are already looking forward to our next visit to see the final transformation.

We can’t wait to see the outcome and visit again!

Safety Banquet

Thank you all for making the time to attend the PMA Annual Safety Awards Banquet last night.

I also want to thank Gia and Eric from Signal and Jacquelyn and Natasha from PMSA who joined us for the event. It was great having you!

I am proud of your efforts and the reduction in injury incident rate certificate we received. These types of recognitions are tough to get but this is a team that stays the course and gets it done…thank you!

Safety Banquet – March 19, 2026

I also want to recognize the Lifesaving Awards presented to Dave, Diane, Mike, Joe and John. In a moment of crisis, you all stood tall and took action to save a life. It was touching moment to have Michael stand up and be recognized knowing that your actions gave him that opportunity.

Thank you all for making safety a cornerstone of our culture…there is no other team that does it better.

– Alan

San Pedro Chamber of Commerce Visit

Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming members of the SAN PEDRO CHAMBER OF COMMERCE for a tour of our terminal. We were proud to offer a closer look at how our team keeps cargo moving, supports local jobs, and contributes to the strength of the San Pedro Bay port complex. Thank you to the Chamber for spending time with us—we truly value the opportunity to stay connected and share the important work happening on the waterfront.
