Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming the Port of Los Angeles interns for a behind-the-scenes tour of YTI. One of the highlights of their visit was climbing into our cranes for a firsthand look at what it’s like to operate them and see the terminal from above. It’s not every day that you get to experience this perspective, and for many of the interns, it offered a new appreciation of the technology, skill, and teamwork that keep our operations moving every single day. These moments give us the chance to show what goes into terminal operations while sparking interest and excitement about the maritime industry.
By sharing our knowledge and experiences, we’re reinforcing our values of Collaboration, Caring, and Commitment, also known as The YTI Way. Building connections with young professionals helps bridge the gap between education and real-world application, creating pathways for future growth in our industry.
Thank you to the Port of Los Angeles and Mark Arca for making this visit possible. We look forward to continuing to inspire and collaborate with the future leaders of our community.
